SIGHT (Supporting Innovation and Growth in Healthcare Technologies) is a business support project led by the University of Portsmouth in conjunction with Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust, which is designed to enhance the competitiveness of SMEs in the healthcare sector.
It provides SMEs with the insight and specific evidence required to ensure their products meet real, identified market needs along with the necessary guidance and support to enter and expand in new healthcare markets.
The work carried out under the SIGHT programme has led to the launch myra, the first app focused on the problems of hospital discharge, providing a free information resource for carers and their loved ones, helping them to facilitate the discharge process and avoid unnecessary delays.
